Who Can Join CSCPA?
Membership with CSCPA is divided into several levels.
- Fellow
The candidate holds a certificate from the State of Connecticut as a Certified Public Accountant. - International
The candidate is the equivalent of a Certified Public Accountant in any country other than the United States. - Associate
The candidate is a Certified Public Accountant in a state other than Connecticut. - Affiliate
The candidate is not yet certified as a Certified Public Accountant but has passed all parts of the Uniform CPA Examination. - Student Pledge
The candidate is a full-time undergraduate student or graduate student taking a minimum of 12 credits per semester. - Candidate Pledge
The candidate works in a firm, has had a bachelor's degree for no more than five years, and has not yet passed the CPA Exam.
Members must be in full compliance with the Connecticut State Board of Accountancy’s continuing professional education (CPE) requirements. Members not holding a certificate issued by the Connecticut State Board of Accountancy will be deemed to be in compliance with the Board’s CPE requirements if they comply with the requirements for a permit (or its equivalent) that they hold from another state or jurisdiction’s board of accountancy.
