CPAs: Do the Write Thing

We’re actively seeking members to write for Connecticut CPA!

Connecticut CPA Contributor FAQs

What’s in it for me?

There’s not much money in it…well, OK, there’s no money in it, but we do run a short bio and your photo along with your contribution, and we give you extra copies for your file and your lobby (and your mom). We can also send you a PDF file of the article as it appears in the magazine so you can reproduce it and send it to clients and others.

Why Connecticut CPA

More than 7,000 individuals directly receive Connecticut CPA  and we’re confident the article has a significant “pass-along” factor as well. In addition, other state CPA societies frequently ask our authors for permission to reprint their Connecticut CPA  articles in their publications!

What kinds of articles do you need?

We’re looking for articles on topics of interest to Connecticut CPAs, whether they are in public practice, industry, government, or education. Although we will consider articles written by non-members, preference is always given to submissions written or co-written by CSCPA members.

What are the requirements?

Generally, we ask that articles are no longer than 2,000 words. CSCPA staff will handle design and illustration, and edit all submissions for style and content. We’ll give you all the details when we contact you to write a specific article, but if you’re interested, all of the fine print is available online. View the submission guidelines (pdf document).
