Frank Frago Community Service Award Scholarship


Amount: 
$750 scholarship

Purpose: To encourage and recognize undergraduate accounting majors who have shown leadership through continued commitment to community service.

Candidate's Awards

 

Amount: $3,000 scholarships

Purpose: To assist students in complying with the 150-hour educational requirement of the Connecticut State Board of Accountancy.

Awarded: Fall semester

Children of CSCPA Members Scholarships

 

Amount: $500 scholarships

Purpose: To assist students in accredited accounting programs with parents holding membership in the CSCPA in financing their college educations

Diversity Scholarship

 

Amount: $1,000

Purpose: To increase and encourage diversity in the accounting profession, and to recognize high-achieving college junior or senior minority accounting students traditionally underrepresented in the accounting profession.

Awarded: Fall semester

CT High School Accounting Scholarships

 

Amount: $500 scholarships

Purpose: To assist CT high school seniors planning to pursue a career in accounting with financing their post-secondary education.

Awarded: Spring semester

To Apply: Scholarship applicants are determined via faculty recommendation (1 student per high school) and final recipients are selected by the Educational Trust Fund.


Junior Awards

 

Amount: $500 scholarships

Purpose: To assist undergraduate accounting majors at Connecticut colleges or universities recognized by the Connecticut State Board of Accountancy in financing their educations.

Awarded: During the spring semester by an ETF Trustee at each school's accounting department awards ceremony.

To apply: Scholarship recipients are determined via faculty recommendation.


 

Outstanding Community College Accounting Student Awards

 

Amount: $750 (renewable) scholarships for full-time students or $350 (renewable) scholarships for part-time students. 

Purpose: To assist CT community college accounting students in continuing their education at four-year college or university recognized by the Connecticut State Board of Accountancy.

Awarded: Spring semester

To apply:  Scholarship applicants are determined via faculty recommendation and final recipients are selected by the Educational Trust Fund.


 

Accounting Department Grant

 

Amount: At the discretion of the Trustees

Purpose: To assist the accounting department in a four-year Connecticut college or university recognized by the Connecticut State Board of Accountancy in enhancing the department's ability to teach.

Awarded: Annually in the fall

To apply: Applications are sent directly to the accounting department chair prior to the fall semester. 


 

Accounting Club Grant

 

Amount: At the discretion of the Trustees

Purpose: To assist an accounting club at a four-year Connecticut college or university recognized by the Connecticut State Board of Accountancy in realizing its objectives.

Awarded: Annually in the fall

To apply: Applications are sent directly to the accounting department chair prior to the fall semester.
