Advocacy.

  • Legislative Vigilance.
CSCPA fights for you at the Capitol. Recent victories include defeating a proposed sales tax that singled out CPA services, stopping a proposed increase to the CPA license fee, changing the amount of education required to sit for the exam, and passing enhanced reciprocity legislation.
  • CPA Image Campaign.
The Society promotes the value of CPA services through proactive media relations, radio public service announcements, distribution of informational brochures, and advertisements in major transportation centers highlighting CPAs making a difference for their clients and their communities.
  • Employment Services.
CSCPA matches members seeking full-time, part-time, or per diem employment with local firms and businesses seeking to hire a CPA. Unemployed members may place complimentary classified advertisements in Connecticut CPA.
  • Online CPA Locator.
Supplement your firm’s advertising efforts with inclusion in the Online CPA Locator, allowing the general public to search for a CPA. Enrollment is free and open to members only.
  • Student Outreach Speakers Bureau.
CSCPA’s vigorous academic and student relations program reaches out to Connecticut’s classrooms, providing CPA guest speakers in conjunction with the Society’s High School Financial Literacy Lesson Plans, while encouraging students to consider the CPA career path.
  • Affinity Programs.
CSCPA offers everything from insurance for sole providers to deals on rental cars and trips. If you are a vendor interested in providing an affinity partnership, please fill out this form and your application will be considered by the committee.

Community.

  • Committees and Interest Groups.

CSCPA offers several Friday Focus meetings a year for members in industry, CONNection meetings conveniently organized by location in Rocky Hill, Torrington, and Easton, and meetings of the Personal Financial Planning Group of Fairfield.
  • Connecticut CPA.
Published bi-monthly, Connecticut CPA keeps you in touch. Each issue covers the people, issues, and images of the profession in Connecticut, as well as technical developments. Members are invited to submit articles for consideration.
  • A "Members Only" Section.

  • Emergency Assistance/Continuation.
The Emergency Assistance and Emergency Continuation Plans provide assistance in the event death, incapacitation, or serious illness requires a practitioner or his/her family to seek continuation or the sale of a practice. You may register to have your name provided to practitioners requesting assistance.
  • Member-to-Member Consulting.

Education.

  • CPE Discounts.
